Homework for Tues, Feb 15– due by noon!

READ AND ANNOTATE : Two short articles: one by Klass and one by Abdurraqib, both on Perusall.

WRITE: At least 300 words and post on Open Lab.  What are some communities that you are a part of? (hint: we’re all a part of multiple communities!) What “languages” have you had to learn to engage with these communities—and how did you learn these languages? Are there particular words or phrases that stick out to you as helping you feel like you were part of the in-crowd?  Use category: Unit 1

• Start thinking about a word or a phrase that you might want to write about for Essay One. You will need to know your phrase by Thursday of next week.
• Remember that I’ll be handing out grade reports on Tuesday. At this point, all I have to judge you on is if you’re caught up on your homework. So catch up by Monday!
