The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
Nina, you might want to think of a word that’s a little more of an “insider” word– a word that ambulance drivers use amongst themselves, for example. We’re looking at the ways people talk to each other and the ways language includes some people and excludes others (as in the word Coates discusses, or in Diaz’ “fuku,”) a word whose USAGE you can spend some time explaining or exploring!
