Sphere of RIngs
Description: The concept behind my self-structural sphere was Leonardo Da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man". He states "Proper symmetry and proportion as related to the building of temples...a human body can be symmetrically inscribed within both a circle and a square...There is a changing perspective in the work. It is static in structure but dynamic in its presentation of a moving, living man." In other words, I created my sphere with geometry within the geometry and repeated that idea until I met the required dimensions of 1'-0". I also wanted to create the illusion of a spinning coin or a "moving man" pertaining to a sphere, which explains the outter rings that hold the entire sphere in balance and place.
