On October 8, 2019 at 10:30 to 4pm Zara and I went to the New York Supreme Court Civil Term. Located at 360 Adams Street Brooklyn, NY 11201. We went through security at the entrance of the building. The security guard directed us to the clerk’s office. Then the people at the clerk’s office directed us to room 227 once we reached that room we where then directed to floors 5,7,9. Once we reached the fifth floor the security guard directed us to go to the courtroom 296 to observe a civil trial. The clerk of the court informed us of the name of the case and the parties. The name of the case is Harris v Christian Church of Canarsie. The plaintiffs’ attorney is Steven Podolsky and the defendants’ is Salvatore Desantis. The judges name is your honor Kathy King. The case was about a car accident and having the plaintiffs’ attorney cross examine the defendant. Once the plaintiffs attorney finished asking the defendant questions, the defense attorney then questioned his own client. Overall I enjoyed the case it was amazing experience.
