The first picture is of endocannibalism. A long time ago, in Brazil, there was a tribe known as the Wari people. The Wari people had this ritual involving eating the deceased members of their tribe. Their belief was that by eating the dead, they would always have a connection with that person. It was a way of honoring the tribe member. To my knowledge, this practice is no longer continued.
