Grenada has one museum The Grenada National History Museum, located at Cnr Young & Monckton St,St. George. This was built by the French in 1704 and was part of the foundations of Fort George complex this building was also use by the British as a female prison until 1880. The Grenada National Museum was finally opened in 1976. This was 1 of the 4 ceramic vessels that was found in a burial in Grand Bay during excavations. The group or archaeologists who found this burial said that this Ceramic vessels was placed with the body during interment.
