My visit to the United Nation was interesting. The UN was established in 1945 after World War II. The UN promotes international cooperation. My favorite thing about the UN were the many flags. There are 193 flags that greet you upon your arrival. Each flag represents the member states. The flags are a friendly reminder that different countries can get along, regardless of race,religion,etc. It also shows that every conflict does not have to end in war and that these conflicts can be resolved in other ways. My only dislikes from this trip was having to wait outside until nine in the freezing cold and that there weren’t more places to eat. There was just a Starbucks but I would’ve been interested in buying food that other member states are interested in.
