Human rights are rights that are believed to belong justifiably to every person regardless of race, sex, religion, nationality, language or any other status.

After experiencing the horrors of the WWII, world leaders realized the necessity to guarantee the rights of every human being. That understanding later led to the evolvement of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10 December 1948.

From my personal perspective, Article 26 is the most important human right among the others.

    Article 26 of the UDHR
Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.

I strongly believe that not only is education the basic foundation of the future success of a person, it also helps a person develop ethics and moralities. Education serves as a vital tool to upgrade a person’s socioeconomic status and to narrow the income gap and wealth inequality in our society. At the global level, education is something that keeps our world safe and makes it a more peaceful place by teaching people the difference between right and wrong.
