I was a little girl just a newborn child. I grew up seeing my dad every 2 months since he was in the U.S. Two years alter my little brother was born. My parents were always looking for the best way possible to make me and my brother have a good education. Egypt wasn’t and still isn’t the best place to have an education or learn anything. My dad stayed away from me my mom and brother but we knew it was for the best. I remember my mom playing with my hair and telling me we will come to the U.S and everything will be better. i knew she was right. At 6 years old my dad came back took me my little brother and mom and came to the U.S. A few years later my little sister was born. Egypt was terrible at a time expressly for being a christian. On the first day of school I was in tears. Everything was new holding on to my moms arms and won’t let go. Little by little reading got better still didn’t know much of writing. My dad would always help me. He knew a lot since he was living here for a while. Then writing was a piece of cake. Everything gotten better and I made a lot of friends. I think about how much this has changed my life. All of this wouldn’t have been possible if I never left and my parents started a new life here for me and my siblings.
