Title | Homework for Sept. 14 and 16 |
Content | Subject: The first set of readings -- Theme: Youth and Growing Up
Please read all three in the order they are in here. You may wish to make notes on what you read and also notice if you ever experienced anything similar in your own life in each of these readings.
PLEASE READ THE FIRST TWO SELECTIONS FOR TUESDAY, SEPT. 14
THEN READ THE LONGER STORY FOR THURSDAY, SEPT. 16.
Please note that the first and third readings are called "short stories," for obvious reasons. In literature, only novels and short stories are considered works of fiction, and as such one needs to know whose point of view the story is coming to us from. That does not mean the author...MORE ACCURATELY, HE OR SHE IS CALLED THE NARRATOR.
READING IS HOMEWORK. In class we will discuss the readings with questions I will post in the Discussion folder.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE THREE LINKS HAVE TO BE CUT AND PASTED INTO YOUR BROWSER WINDOW IN ORDER TO OPEN. YOU CANNOT JUST CLICK ON THEM.
