    Description: After doing the capsule staining technique, this picture was taken by one of my lecture classmate. Capsules are delicate structures of the cell that can be destroyed very easily by doing other staining techniques, such as Gram stain. My capsules were not visible through the microscope because I made the mistake of washing the smear with H2O.During Capsule staining, the cell and background are stained with crystal violet while the capsules of the cells are unstained.<br />
