World’s Water Crisis Poster

Created with one clear concise message to save water.  The poster seen above is a direct shout towards the conservation of a precious NON-renewable resource  that the world has continued to use irresponsibly. Water is a necessity to human life and we should be showing the respect it deserves.

Visually Enhanced Quotes

The visual you see above is a W. Clement Stone quote paired with original photography taken by me. “ Aim for the moon, if you miss you might hit a star.” quoting stone to provoke some motivation from the listener to dream big dreams because you might not achieve all of them but the action is the true prize. I believed the photograph of Midtown, Manhattan pairs nicely displaying an array finished and incomplete buildings truly showing how the city is ever evolving. Each building began as a dream, and some heights are almost tall enough to touch the stars relating back to Stones words advising to aim for heights unimaginable. I Ultimately chose a san serif font for an easy yet modern feel for the reader and Futura does this perfectly.

Taking my camera to new heights this photograph was taken from my window seat aboard a commercial flight. W. Clement Stone’s words ”Aim for the moon, if you miss you might hit a star.” appears across the image in a fun way. Separating the quote to three parts, “ Aim for the moon…” appears first to ensure the goal is clear. Next is “ If you miss …” just after the planes wingtip in the image to suggest a break, space, or moment in time to reflect. “… you might hit a star.” completes the quote shown at the bottom of the page to create the feeling for the reader to drop their head as the eyes move down the visual. Thus invoking Stone’s idea, to miss the moon would suggest you’d begin falling back to earth. The last word “Star” is colored yellow to intensify the idea, a star is bright, warm and something anybody would enjoy. The aerial setting provided by the sky gives a free, open and weightless feeling for the reading to provoke thought while reading. Futura is used once more for the easy clean legibility.

This photo was captured on the brooklyn bridge , a connection to two boroughs in an city full of aspiring individuals. Manhattan is known as a place where stars are made and opportunities are as large as buildings. Skyscrapers are a compliment to W Clement Stone’s ideas of limits much larger than average. A blue hue covers the skyline as the lights of windows dance in a star like motion breathing life into Stone’s words. “Aim for the moon, if you miss you may hit a star.” Stone said as words of inspiration. The photos sky has high contrasting tones of yellow and black to emphasize the glow of New York City. All the people in this photo have been reduced to grayscale providing a nostalgic vibe. The actual quote is stretched nicely across the sky is a dream like feel. Futura is the font for the clear readability despite the warp. “Star” is highlighted in yellow for the final touch on the visual completing the set.
