Happy Earth Day!

In celebration of Earth Day, you’re invited to join us for a special campus event hosted by the Green Spaces Club in collaboration with the Campus Environment & Gardens Working Group.

Friday, April 24, 2026
1:30–3:30 PM
Voorhees Hall Rear Parking Lot

Come through, meet other students, faculty, and staff, and be part of making campus greener. We’ll be planting seeds, installing raised beds, and getting a composting system started—plus sharing ideas about sustainability and how we can take better care of our campus spaces.

Feel free to stop by at any point, whether you want to help out or just check it out and learn something new. Everyone’s welcome.

Updated Announcement!

Hello everyone!

We will still be meeting at 12:45 this Thursday. Due to the snow we will instead meet in the Voorhees Cafeteria/Lounge to chat about this semester’s events, meet new members, enjoy some snacks together and maybe plant something (indoors).

At the end, we’ll walk over to the Academic Building to show how to water some of the plants for anyone interested in volunteering.
Hope to see you there!

Please try to attend if you are interested in helping water the plants on campus as we are in great need of volunteers!

INTRODUCTION

Two new clubs, Green Spaces and Freedom by Design, started up on campus to implement the greening project and to sustain the initiative over time. The clubs met weekly over the academic year, and planned, learned, and implemented projects at six sites.
