Shallow Depth Of Field allows us to see the object that is being focused on more clearly while the things surrounding the object is blurred out. In this image of the red car it shows the whole car being focused, while the lights, and the background around the car is being blurred out. Shallow Depth of Field also brings out the color contrast which in some cases makes the image more realistic and bright.
