In my course, Specialized Communications, we had been split into groups to design and create a series of documents for an old computer. My group had decided to work with the Atari 800, one of whom was Christopher Navarrete. (This guy shows up a bit in this portfolio, by the way, so go check him out too!) Each member of this four-man group had been tasked with their own specific part of the assignment. My personal task was on the owner’s manual. However, we had also created a brochure that would focus on and capture the Atari 800’s unique selling points. We had to role play as a company from this time period, almost as if our fictional company, COMTECH (Which we got from combining the words Technical Communication in reverse, pretty good huh?), had been contracted to create these documents.
