In Spring 2021, I will be adding an activity to my ENT 4410 – Technical Direction class related to the ‘Connected’ Gen Ed Theme. Each week, students will post in a discussion board for the class about one idea, event, activity or concept from outside of class is connected to an idea, event, activity or concept inside the class. This could be anything from a reading assignment in another class to something they see on the news or experience in their personal life. This small, ungraded, weekly practice is intended to break down barriers between knowledge domains and encourage students to think broadly about the way their education informs their lives.
