Textiles are making a big impact at City Tech with beautiful work in two exhibitions. On May 2, Dr. Nazanin Hedayat Munroe’s installation “Screened Off” was featured in the the “Shedding Light” Exhibition. Read here about how Dr. Munroe taught her advanced students how to incorporate immigrant experience and historical printing techniques into the large-scale project.

On May 7, students from Intro to Textiles (BUF 2246) and Advanced Textiles (BUF 3246) exhibited  tapestries, block and screen printed fabrics, and hand-dyed kimono-inspired works in the Student Exhibition.

New Textile Lab Open at City Tech

On March 16, 2023, Dr. Nazanin Hedayat Munroe, Director of Textile Technology and Assistant Professor of Business & Technology of Fashion, led a tour of the College’s new Textile Lab facilities.
