In this project, I learn how to create ligatures. A ligature is a combination of two or more letters that are joined to form a single glyph. I created a two-letter ligature using my EM initials. This ligature reflects who I am and serves as my logo.
- Sketches
The first phase consists of research and sketches. I developed 27 black and white ligatures. My ligature design represents me as a brand, so I consider brand personality, colors, contrast minimalist, honest, experimental, etc.).
- Digital variations
In this phase, I used Adobe Illustrator to develop my ligature in four different and unique ways. Experiment with typefaces, font sizes, composition, etc. on 6×8″ artboards. My designs worked in black & white and color.
- Final ligature
I Picked my favorite ligature design and I created the final versions.
- Mockups
I created three product mockups on adobe dimensions for my ligature and one must feature my full name.
Branding :
I developed my ligature logo as my brand and I created some patterns for packaging examples and a business card.
