Project 1 – PSA: The Gender Wage Gap ( Group Project)
Concept & Direction
A woman and a man are both applying for jobs. They both receive an interview from the company. The woman is well qualified with years of experience and expertise while the man has none. The woman and man both get ready for the interview, with the woman dressing professionally and the man dressing unprofessionally. The woman shows up 5 minutes early and is waiting to be called in. The man is 15 minutes late. The woman is called in for the interview and shakes the interviewer’s hand. The interview goes well with the woman confident and social. The woman sits back down in the waiting room. The man then goes in for his interview and acts careless and unprofessional. The man receives the job and shakes the interviewer’s hand. The woman is told she did not get the job and is left feeling discouraged.
