If you taking or will take research paper class in the future be aware that selecting a good topic may not be easy. Choose a topic that you are interested in and do not change it often. Make sure before selecting your topic you know what your final project should look like. Each professor will likely require a different format or style of research project. Make sure you taking notes from professor and ask questions. Write down any key words or concepts that may be of interest to you.
If your topic is too broad, you will find too much information and not be able to focus. Narrow your topic to something manageable. You may wish to avoid topics such as, abortion, gun control, teen pregnancy, or suicide unless you feel you have a unique approach to the topic. Ask the librarian for ideas if you feel you are stuck or need additional guidance.
My research paper is about wine tourism in Georgia. While the primary focus is the development of wine trails in Georgia as a tourist attraction, and use the wine regions as a destination to promote country’s potential growth in the tourist industry.
Problem: How to motivate Western and European travelers to visit Georgia
Solution: To develop wine trails as a form of tourist attraction
Thesis: Wine and gastronomy have traditionally dominated in national and regional promotional strategies. Likewise, Georgia’s ancient tradition of winemaking as well as its cuisine can play a pivotal part while attempting to increase Western and European visitors’ appeal toward the country. Wine- tasting events can be used as powerful tools while attempting to enhance interest toward the ancient tradition of Georgian winemaking. Such events will allow the visitors to witness the versatility of Georgian wine making practices and promote the country as a place of destination.
