For this project, I realized I needed to visualize sounds. It’s a lot harder that it seems. From listening to music to create legato and staccato mashups, to saying my name out loud to create a topographical map of some sorts, visualizing sounds is pretty unique.
I personally think it’s a special skill to create art just by listening to sounds or music. I don’t think I’m very good at doing so, and i think my topography piece could be a lot stronger than it is now. However, I did have fun trying to visualize my name and how it looks like in my head. I think my staccato/legato piece is a lot strong than the topographical map. I felt like I should have spent more time on it and should of made it a little more detailed like some of my peers’ work.
