Using the already made swiss style band poster I made with my group, I recreated it in Adobe Illustrator. Recreating the poster was easy for me because i already have had experience with Illustrator but i was having trouble with the color. I tried to use no more than three different levels of saturation of blue. “Less is more” was what i had in mind. This took me about 1 hour to do.
I made this poster with Nami, Zeefah, and Isaias. We got a cool color card, Pavement as out composition grid, and used Silent Rain as our cross-sensory phrase. I think we accomplished a lot in just the hour we had to make it. 🙂
These are my Chromatic Gray’s. I know i have made some mistakes because some actually fall into the muted colors. Mixing colors to make chromatic grays were very difficult for me. Both of these took 3 hours all together.
This is my color wheel that I made using cyan, magenta, and yellow gouache paint. It took a while to get good shades of color but in the end I am satisfied! I might put something in the background to give it some personality. This took me about an hour to make.
This was the easiest past of the project. Remaking my broad range on Photoshop was simple and easy. I think this looks better than my collage. This took about 20 min to make.
This is my painting of my narrow range. It was fun to paint with gouache for the first time. I tried my best to make it similar to my original collage. The background was the most difficult to paint because my grays kept on running out and when i tried to remake it, the color was off. This took me about 3 hours to make. I liked this part of the project a lot.
Even though these were meant to be sketches, I ended up taking 2 -5 min in each box. I now noticed that even when I sketch i try to put lots of details.
