This was a surprise to my palette. I have see herring in cream sauce before but I didn’t like how it looked so I never tried it, but I decided to be brave and tried it when we went on our culinary tour of Little Italy. I had a premonition of what it might taste like but looking at it, but to my unexpected surprise it wasn’t that bad. The herring was sweet and tangy but had a lingering onion taste on the palette. one try was enough. I also tried the gravlax with cream cheese bagel, I liked it very much, the smoky flavor of the locks paired with the creamy texture and taste of the cream cheese was nice. I’ll try it again.
