o My position at Dr. Scaffa’s office has been my first experience in a private practice office. I am responsible for handling all phone inquiries and scheduling appointments for both the dentist and hygienists. I submit all insurance claims as well as follow up with insurance companies on any discrepancies. At the end of appointments patients are required to check out with me, where I can collect all co payments and schedule appointments for treatment or recare. The staff acknowledges that I do have knowledge in the field of dentistry as I finish my degree. The Dr. will often discuss treatment plans and ask for my input. This job has been a great learning experience and I plan on working there as a hygienist in the near future.

At Cabo I make new recipes for specialty menus. Collecting money and keeping all sales records accurate is very important. The late nights work best for my schedule as I can be with my family during the day and still afford to go through school.
