Architecture Internship courses are important. Everyone shared the experience of different companies, communicated with each other, and learned from each other. Specific content includes, resume, presentation, office visit ect. I would suggest that everyone should go through this course, because you will learn unique knowledge. Help us understand the jobs of the future. Even provide us with opportunities and platforms to get more job opportunities

“The Architecture Internship Course allowed me to better understand the transition between school and working within an office. Throughout the course we spoke about our various work experiences and received assignments that tied well with the internship itself. I believe this course is helpful for those looking to bridge the gap between school and work and can benefit those looking to get into the field of Architecture. This course also allowed me to understand the experiences I had during the semester, both in and out of work. I truly appreciate the Architecture Internship course and recommend it to others looking to diversify their knowledge of Architecture.

“Kenneth is a bright soul. I enjoyed his class because he understands the art of conversation and seems to know exactly what to say and when to say it. Kenneth is a breath of fresh
air. I loved this class.

“Good morning Prof. Conzelmann.
Yes I have been matched to a work place.
Actually my first day of work was
yesterday. Thanks to your internship
website on open lab, it helped me get this
job. I would constantly look at the website
to see any updates and I’ll just apply to
the internships I’m interested in. I apply
for the CUNYI2E program and got matched
with a small architecture firm. I applied
to the Summer Youth Employment Program
(SYEP)+ CUNY and I got in, but the jobs
they were offering me were not related to
architecture, therefore I declined the
offer. I also got the job with Brooklyn
Navy Yard Real Estate Fellowship Program
which I believe starts at the end of
August. My plan right now is to finish the
8 week internship that I am currently in
and then start right away with the Brooklyn
Navy Yard Internship program, which ends in
April of 2022. I will also start graduate
school this fall, and I’m very excited to
what’s to come. I wouldn’t have had these
opportunities without your help. Thank you
so much. I am beyond grateful.
Sincerely,
-Angelica Morales Juarez / David Yum Architects, dyarchitects.com”

“Mr. Josh Vodel, Director, NYC Dept City Planning,
Good Evening. I am emailing you about the
internship opportunity you have with both
the Brooklyn Office and the Brooklyn Office
(Urban Design Team). I have planned to use
this opportunity to attend my architectural
internship course giving me both experience
and also credits to graduate. Ultimately I
plan on applying to the new BArch program
CityTech is now creating, hopefully, to be
attending then see where I would fit in the
architectural field. Expanding my
architecture and creating my own firm
someday. I have attached my resume and a
brief biography to this email. hope to hear
from you soon. Thank you for your time and
consideration.
Very Respectfully,
-Lenny S. Marin”

“Hi Mr. Vogel, Director, NYC Dept City Planning,
I hope all is well and everyone is safe
during these trying times. An email
regarding an internship opportunity has
been referred to me by the great Professor
Conzelmann and wanted to inquire about it.
Urban design and planning are one of my
greatest strengths in design, and this
opportunity in particular reflects my skill
sets all around, including graphic design,
verbal/written communication, and research.
In the meantime, please find attached my
resume. If there is anything else you may
need, my contact is below. Thank you.
Warm Regards,
-Ola Ahmed”

“Hi Prof.Conzelmann,
Happy new years! I just want to thank you
again for allowing me to take your
internship class in 2018! It really helped
me with my resume and gave me a overview on
what to expect when I go out in the field.
I had a interview with Boyd Consultants for
a full time expediter position and it went
really well! Andrea seems to be really
impressed with my experience and my
communication skills and I beleive I may
get the position. I told her I previously
did a internship with you, hence how I know
you and she was really pleased to hear
that.
I believe she may be reaching out to you
soon to inquire about me, & I was also
wondering if it is okay for me to use you
as a reference? Again I just want to thank
you for all the opportunities you have
given us as student’s at city tech and I
hope you have a very positive and
successful year!
Thank you,
-Jordan Esson / Boyd Consultants, contact: Andrea Boyd, boydconsult.com”
