I like this photo because it feels as though it has a serious/deep feel to it. The way the light hits the front of her face and a bit of the clothes. This shot was taken with a very short light. Overall I like this photo a lot.

The light is high contrast with the light part of Mahalia’s face very bright and the rest in shadow. To be either short or broad light, the model’s face must be in a 3/4 view. This is a profile and cannot be either short or broad light.
