During some research, I’d found out the color purple is actually rare in nature, and the color is considered to be sacred. The word came from the name of the Tyrian purple dye manufactured from mucus secreted by the spiny dye-murex snail, and the dye came from the Phoenician trading city of Tyre, that is now in modern-day Lebanon in the Middle East. In Greek Mythology, Hercules’ dog discovered the color people, after picking up a murex snail from the beach and developing purple drool. Purple is one of the most desired and expensive colors throughout history. It’s consistent indication of wealth and power. From the imperial classes of Rome, Egypt and Persia, began a widespread deep respect for the color. Purple came to represent spirituality because the ancient leaders that wore it were widely considered to be descendants of the gods.
