I decided to choose a poem from Langston Hughes titled Red Roses. The poem only has three stanzas but two words that kept on being on reiterate were “roses” and “tulips”. I instantly thought of spring time when these flowers are at their peek so I drew a pattern of tulips and roses meeting each other by their stems.
