As a design student no instructor has ever discussed about NDA or copyright, also to mention that a lot of students are using images online that students or other designers did not do. This is similar to You tube because when the music used in other content creators is not theirs they will not get paid for that. Now as I about to finish my semester I will always remember to credit people for their image and work because at the end of the day it is theirs. Their should be space to put the link or say something where credits can be shown.

Copyright is a system designed to protect the work of original work of the owner regardless if it is video music or graphic design. A lot of instances that people use other people work such as changing up words to sound similar or in order to change certain work completely. As a future designer I believe that asking permission is the key to not getting in trouble and getting into legal battles.

A example of graphic design ethics is the case of Rogers vs Coons Case where Jeff made and redone and used photographs of different artists Koons used a fair use argument, alleging that his work was a legal parody of “Puppies. Koons believed that “Chain of Dogs satirized society at general by condemning the social degeneration induced by mass manufacture of commodities. However, this was not parodied not parody under the standards of this court, which required that the copied work, not merely society in general, be the focus of parody. This condition is intended to ensure that the defense has a practical limit by making the audience aware that, behind the parody, there is an original and separate statement traceable to a different artist. The court ruled that “String of Puppies” was a satirical critique of material culture, not a parody of Puppies.

Ethics is a term used to describe what is wrong and right to do such as plagirism. When I hear the term ethics it is important that no other information gets spread out and both designer and client in legal battles.

With the current internship I am able to use the company logo Unity For Equality. For current and past assignments I have to recognize foreign holidays also make 1080px and 1920px and remembering to put logo on each piece. Right now in the current moment there is no NDA agreement because it is a organization that is non profit. Also no meeting has been discussed about clients and designers.

1. First when I was getting into graphic design I was not aware of anything about laws and copyright because when I used photos I never thought it was such a big deal. Now that I am older I see the importance of having integrity because without integrity this can definitely hurt my credibility very much I can get sued legally and battle stuff in court.

I like how remote work has changed since covid because it saves time and money. Right now in my current situation with this internship it is very flexible and remote gives me more free time to work on other skills. I believe that remote work should be the way to be because it cuts transportation costs and location such as office costs.

Bad part about remote work is that interruptions are very common such as parents coming in and or children running around. With any internship or job it be treated as a professional setting. Time management is more manageable because with most activities that were done before covid home is where the office should be. MY intership will be interesting experience because I am working alongside actual professionals side by side.

Currently rock is the communication I am using to communicate with chairman and the head of the communication. Right now I am just waiting for my communication supervisor giving me a new assignment to do right now there has not been given an assignment to me yet. and

also sent my assignments to the department head currently under review.

It was hard to find experience or any intership because there is not a lot of places or jobs that are willing to hire students with no experience. Without the professor I would not have been placed in any type of work wether it is a few months or after being placed in one is better than getting nothing at all and it can be added to my resume. Overall the one thing I learned is that opprotunities can be very competitive. I feel lucky to be placed at this point.

With the internship has been going well constant communication with my department chair. Something that I learned about this journey is that getting experience is to get something out it and have as many skills as possible. I am realizing that people in the industry are very busy and have a lot on there plate to do. This organization has been interesting to work for because I have never seen an organization that focuses on bringing different cultures together.

Many assignments I did for these were mainly holidays put together made in Adobe Photoshop which the pixels are 1080×1920 fit mostly for Instagram. What I learned from this is that different nations have different colors representing their own identity pretty their own brand identity.
