JOIN THE RALLY THURSDAY May 11, 12:30 pm at the Tweed Courthouse (52 Chambers St), City Hall Park
CUNY students, faculty, staff, PSC members, and allies will rally on the steps of Tweet Courthouse (52 Chambers St) near City Hall before City Council meets on Thursday, May 11.
Mayor Eric Adams, a City Tech alum, has eliminated hundreds of unfilled faculty and staff positions at CUNY community colleges through his “Program to Eliminate the Gap” cuts. CUNY has been cut by more than $60 million in Fiscal Years 2023 and 2024. The City Council has been standing up to the mayor, demanding budget restorations and a $35 million increase to hire a new corps of full-time academic advisors.

Rally outside CUNY Central the morning before our contract expires. We’ll be taking our demands to CUNY, literally putting them on tables outside of the bosses’ door and confronting them with our vision for a Fair Contract for #APeoplesCUNY.
