NO KINGS LABOR MARCH Sat 10/18

Steps off from Duarte Square (6th Ave. & Canal St.) 11 AM, Saturday, October 18

This Saturday, October 18, everyone in our union–in our city–has a chance to stand against rising fascism at the No Kings mobilization. Register here to march with the PSC in the No Kings Labor March, a feeder march that will start at 11 AM from Duarte Square, 6th Avenue & Canal Street (map). A powerful coalition of labor unions will march up 6th Avenue and converge with other groups at 14th Street.

Don’t be confused if you see No Kings communications from other organizations that say the march will begin at Times Square at 47th and 7th. Some groups will start there but the city’s labor movement will meet at Duarte Square (6th Ave. and Canal St.). We will all meet up at 14th Street.

Bring neighbors, friends, and family. Let’s Make this Big!

Why Sing Out?
Early December is the time to influence Governor Hochul’s Executive Budget proposal for next year. It’s an opportunity to set the starting point of next year’s funding struggle.

We’ll be singing out to affirm our progress toward #NewDeal4CUNY for free and fully funded education, to call for new investments in our students and communities, and to be part of the continuing tradition of song in labor and social movements. Join us!

Why Shout Out?
Faculty and staff represented by PSC-CUNY have been working eight months with an expired contract. They’ve been bargaining since June, but the CUNY bosses still have not made an economic offer! The union is demanding a fair contract with real raises that supports justice and community at CUNY.
