As you know, we are voting within a context in which former President Donald Trump will once again ascend to the Presidency of the United States. At that moment, debates over implementing Project 2025 will begin. As you also know, the survival of the Department of Education is at stake. The impact that its loss could have on CUNY is unpredictable, but frightening. See page 323 in the document at the link below. It is within that context that I decided to vote in favor of our new contract.
