Hispanic Federation is partnering with Telemundo to inform New Yorkers about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)!
On the week of October 19th, Telemundo will be promoting HF’s hotline, 1-866-HF-AYUDA, to inform viewers about the existing DACA program as well as the status of Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA) and expanded DACA. HF volunteers will be trained to answer callers’ questions about these programs and will refer callers to HF member agencies for DACA application assistance as part of our DACA Day of Action on October 24th.
We are seeking the help of our partners and community members to assist us with this event. We are requesting volunteers for any of the days/times listed below. Whatever hours volunteers could dedicate would be greatly appreciated. If volunteers are unable to make it at 4:30PM, please let them know that they may also arrive as late as 5:30PM, but will have to be trained separately. Dinner will be provided on both nights.
Please note that we are requesting volunteers who speak Spanish for this particular event.
