CET 3640 Project

Objective:

The objective of this project is to apply the knowledge acquired during the semester into a project where you will develop an Android app.

Overall Requirements:

• You must work in teams of minimum 3 people, maximum 4.
• The project has the following components:

1-      Project Proposal ( 15% due on November 11, 2013, submit on Blackboard)

2-      Oral Presentation ( 25%, due on December 09, 2013, submit on Blackboard)

3-      Written Report and Code (60%, due on December 09, 2013, submit on Blackboard)

• You have to develop an Android app where apply the programming techniques learned in the course (APIs, inheritance, polymorphism, data structures, etc.)
• Only 1 (one) submission per group by the same member for the proposal, presentation and report.

Project Proposal Details (1 page, single space):

In the project proposal indicate the following:

• Your team members and team name
• The description of the app that you are planning to develop
• An estimated timetable for the design, implementation, writing the report, preparing and practicing the presentation.

Project Presentation:

On December 09, 2013 you and your team will be presenting your work in a Power Point slide show. You will have 12 minutes to present your work and 2-5 minutes for questions/answers. You have to stay for all presentations that day. You also must submit your presentation on Blackboard.

Project Written Report (4-6 pages including figures, single space):

In your project written report include the following sections with their corresponding details:

• Introduction and Motivation
• Design Details
• Implementation
• Test and Results
• Conclusion and Lessons Learned
• References (at least 4 from reliable sources)

You must submit your written report on Blackboard by the December 09, 2013 deadline.
