Changing your avatar (Profile picture)
Avatars introduce us and represent us on the OpenLab community. While many members feel comfortable with images of themselves, it’s not at all required. Feel free to use an image that represents you or your interests. But please do change it from the generic avatar–it makes the community a much more vibrant place.
1. After logging in, click the My OpenLab icon on the right side of the top menu. In the menu that appears below, select My Settings and then Change Avatar.
2. Click the Browse button to search for an image from your computer or device. Once you’ve chosen it, select the Upload Image button.
3. Now you’ll be able to crop the image to fit the avatar. If you want to stretch or change an image (anything other than cropping), you’ll need to do this with another image editing program before uploading. When done, click the Crop Image button.
5. If you’d like, you can also delete your avatar here (you will automatically be assigned you a generic avatar). Uploading a new image does delete and replace the old one.
