Library Session

On October 2, 2013, we spent our double class in our school library—-the computer lab room in Ursula Schwerin Library. First, Professor Davis gave us two sources and let us figured out which one is credible information, which is the bias; and what should we search online when we do the research.

Then, we had given a topic, “the Brooklyn Theater fire” to research it on the internet. First, we use the search engine like “Google”, “Bling”, and “Yahoo”. However, it does not show a lot of information and few websites are exactly the same. Therefore, we look up this topic by the library catalog by using the key words; however, there is no book match to the Brooklyn Theater fire, which is pretty disappointed. But there are many article are related to this topic, and I just do not have time to identify whether they are credible or bias. I think next time when I cannot find anything on the internet or the books; I might try to search the article, to find information.
