I came across this word in the book Night by Elie Wiesel on the bottom of page 18. At nine o’clock, the previous Sunday’s scenes were repeated Policemen wielding clubs were shouting: “All Jews outside!”

Now that i know what wield means i understand now that the police man had something in their hand as a weapon and were telling the jews to get out their house.
