- Thorough medical history review
- Recording vitals and classifying patients’ ASA according to current ASA guidelines.
- Oral cancer screening/Head and Neck Examination
- Exposing diagnostic radiographs
- Calculus/biofilm removal with Ultrasonic scalers and hand instrumentation
- Engine Polishing
- Fluoride application
- Patient Education
- Expanded functions: Sealant placement (pediatric and adult) with cotton rolls or rubber dam, alginate impressions, pouring models, trimming models, fabricating trays
- Arestin placement
- Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration
- Enacting emergency situation protocols
- Detection of suspicious caries lesions
These skills enhance my ability to be a skilled clinician by allowing me to properly assess, form treatment plans based on the assessments, and execute treatment accordingly.
