There are a lot of examples of typography around the world. Not many realize that it is typography, but it’s all there. I have taken pictures of typography in my neighborhood and I’ve realized every block has at least five uses of typography.
Typography in my neighborhood, as I have noticed, is all used as signs for cars or stores. From the corner bodegas, to the speed limit sign, I’ve seen plenty of uses of typography. The typography that stores use is to attract customers. If these stores had no use of typography no one would know what it was or what they sell. Street signs are also a huge part of typography and safety. Without these street signs, there could be a lot of accidents. That also goes for street names, which are useful in everyday life so one can find where they need to go.
