I think this generation heavily relies on technology and popularity. Social media has become a platform for accumulating likes and numbers of friends. Selfies, especially at events or interesting sites are fun to take and share. I do believe, however, that it is at the discretion of the individual. For instance, recently a young woman fell to her tragic death after taking a selfie on a popular cliffside area in California that showed a beautiful view of the ocean. Several others have also lost lives. I do not believe that they should particularly be banned in areas but that these dangers should be warned to visitors in hopes that they hold accountability and preserve their safety.
