From the time I learned about “selfies”, from social media, I found myself constantly looking at myself through my phone’s camera. I try to get the right angle, the right lighting, and the right facial look to get the “perfect selfie”. As I walk within the city of New York, seeing tourists and residents walking around senselessly using their selfie sticks and smartphones every chance they get. It showed me how in certain scenarios selfies can be a problem and be dangerous to you and others around you. The freedom to take a selfie should be given to anyone, however with that right to do so we must all be responsible and cautious with what we are doing.
