A Little More About Me

Born and raised in Brooklyn, I grew up as the youngest child of Chinese immigrants. As a first-generation college student, I strive to be as hardworking as my parents as they paved my way to where I am today.

Being a realistic optimist, I seek the beauty and extract joy in little things. I enjoy taking long strolls, admiring nature, and trying different food cuisines with my friends. I strongly believe in the importance of ‘balance in life’ and that the best asset of life is health – as one cannot accomplish anything without it.

I choose dental hygiene as my career because the mouth is essentially the portal to our body – the place where “health” starts. I also love what I do because I can immediately witness the joy in people’s eyes when they see the end results of their dental hygiene appointment. Similarly, my previous dentist and orthodontist have restored my confidence after working with me to attain a straight set of teeth.  As an aspiring dental hygienist, I want to create brighter and healthier smiles with my compassion and gentle touch. In a busy city like NYC, life is definitely more enjoyable with a genuine smile.
