Bio

My name is Anthony Gabay, I’m a student at New York City College of Technology. I am in the Advertising Design major, going for my Associates Degree. I do freelance work as a videographer and video editor. My interest in graphic communications is learning how to make content that can communicate with people. I want to learn to make art that people will enjoy to see, and connect to. I plan on furthering my work as a videographer and designer when I graduate from City Tech, and most likely work on getting a Bachelors Degree.

Some of the other courses I have taken, in City Tech, are Illustration, Typography, Raster and Vector and more. I have learned how to play around with my designs such as using negative space, where to make people focus when looking at my work, and how colors can work with one another. Sketching is something I realized as an important factor because you will always have ideas. You can sketch your ideas, manipulate them, and refine them to be something better. What I also learned is that when designing , whether it be a logo, drawing, or a photo, simple can be better. Instead of forcing so much into one design, which cam sometimes make things look overwhelming, create something that seems simple, and stands out more that can work well within the design.
