I came across your advertisement for a graphic artist, and would like to submit my resume and application for the graphic artist and designer position.  I did some research on the company and was fascinated with the worked done. I would love to be apart of the group of designers for freeze.

After having reviewed your requirements I believe that my skills and work experience match them. I am major in Graphic Designing and I have gain experience in general design, visual art, and advertising design. I have a great creativity and communication to explore great projects. Always work to the best of the time given and to meet deadlines. I have the ability to work well in  groups or teams and most important independently. Working under pressure is a big quality for all graphic designers and i certainly meet this requirement. Working with Adobe programs and being able to pick the best fonts, colors to create well combine work is also part of a few of my skills. I also have the ability to adapt to new technology and software as well as new ideas of work.

Thank you for taking your time looking into my resume and for your consideration.

sincerely

Christopher Martinez

Reverse Engineer the Letter: Mr. Martinez is applying for a fast paced graphic design firm. This firm is very busy and needs to meet plenty of deadlines. The job is looking for someone who is versatile and able to work well with others.

Read the job ad. Were you close in your reverse engineering attempt? If you were, then the letter probably meets with some of the employer’s needs. If you weren’t, has the author missed understanding the employer’s needs? Or have they just emphasized certain things and overlooked others? Does the letter make the person applying seem like a good applicant; an unappealing applicant; or an outstanding applicant?

After reading the job post I was surprised the job revolved around clothing. If Mr. Martinez has any experience designing t-shirts, hats, or any other apparel, I would include that in the letter. Otherwise, the letter was good in mentioning his ability to work under pressure and to work well with others.

Explain why and how you made the judgment in #2/3. If the applicant was not an outstanding candidate, explain what you think the author needs to do to get into a higher pile.

I would only include some interests in designing apparel that would be popular and attractive to target demographics.

Is the letter free of spelling, mechanical, and grammar errors? Let the author know about the errors you see.

There are only a few minor mistakes.
