For Tuesday
1. Bring in your Quiz #4.
If you’re having trouble figuring out what the subjects of the sentences are (or whether there are any), you are allowed to consult your Rules of Thumb book! The most useful sections will probably be “Recognizing Complete Sentences,” which starts on page 28, and “Run-on Sentences and Sentence Fragments,” which starts on page 31.
2. Make sure you’re caught up on all three articles about the Mole People (handed out in class, as well as listed under “Readings Due”)!

Your homework for Tuesday…
…according to the syllabus (and me), is to BRING IN THE LYRICS OF A SONG (any song: a song you love, a song you loathe, a song you feel pretty neutral about, whatever)–along with a SHORT PARAGRAPH about what you think the song’s deeper message is. Do its lyrics suggest anything about our world or some aspect of our society?
As always, let me know if you have any questions. And have a glorious weekend.
