The “HOPE” cover project was a significant undertaking completed during my studies in COMD2300. The song “HOPE” is a poignant composition inspired by a tragic Florida gun crime case. In this project, I delved into the song’s meaningful lyrics, which, as I interpret them, convey the deep desire for redemption among those affected by gun violence. The lyrics suggest that even a hint of disappointment might serve as a catalyst for positive change, potentially saving lives in the process. While we may not be able to bring redemption to those who have already lost their lives, we are compelled to prevent further victimization by gun crimes and create a safer future for our society.
