Final Drawing Assignment Location- Silvia N.

The place I decided to draw for our final take home assignment was my local church, Our Lady of Fatima in East Elmhurst. It was an ideal spot because it had a lot of interesting architectural structures. It was convenient for me also because it is a block away from my home and it was indoors, which was perfect because it was freezing cold that day. I forgot to take the picture that day so I went back on Saturday for the selfie.

About Silvia Nava

Hello everyone! My name is Silvia Navagonzalez. I graduated from Queensborough Community College with my Associate degree in Computer Information Systems. I am also interested in business management and hope to one day own my own business. I am fluent with Microsoft Office and like to work with data. I transferred to New York City College of Technology in the Spring semester of 2015. After taking a few classes in CST, I became more interested in Communication Design, so for the fall 2016 semester I made the change over to this department. I really enjoy the way an advertisement can express many things through a single image. What has always interested me are the many methods businesses or corporations use to capture the attention of potential customers. The way that every single detail in an ad is there for a specific reason and the way a composer can express him or herself through a piece is very interesting to me. An ad or a logo to me can either make or break a business. It is a first impression that holds a lot of weight. I hope to incorporate a strong message through my work and express the person that I am.
