The readings assigned for this assignment have been informative and a great refresher to think about my perspective on my own design work. I’ve been on the end of being uncredited for some photography done and felt more than upset. It’s frustrating putting effort into a piece for it to be stolen and shared from an individual posing as the creator. If other artists can’t give credit to artists who will. That happened in 2019 when I was 20 and since then make sure to cite and mention the artist properly whether it’s in homework, or my social media, etc. That’s just talking about copyright ethics not even thinking about how my creative work can affect the world of design and more. For example from the article Picture Imperfect — Digital Image Manipulation Ethics Photography Instructor Olstad says “The collective standard of beauty and any problems it presents is not the responsibility of photo editors”. Where I personally don’t agree with the statement because the artist of any media is in control of what they put out in the world where everything is online and easily seen by the public.
