For this project, I will be teaching myself the “Touch Designer” software and implement it in conjunction with a Microsoft Kinect. I will generate a signal flow chart to show physical connections using Vector works. I will learn Touch Designer by watching tutorials, researching threads and commands as well as attend any of the workshops available to me. As a limiting but very helpful resource I will be mainly watching YouTube tutorials.  Also, readily available resources are available for download such as PDF books on the Touch Designer website. My initial start is to read an introductory book about the software. Along with acquiring knowledge of the software I will learn the ins and outs of how the guts of the motion senor work so that I will be able to determine the weak points. Lastly for phase two of the projects I will attempt to incorporate my basic lighting knowledge to send DMX to the software to be controlled by motion.
