CASE #1

24yrs old male, non-smoker with a negative health history. EOIO: No significant findings. Perio case type I, with generalized moderate supragingival and heavy subgingival calculus accumulations on the linguals.Mild fluorosis found on the anterior facial of the maxilla and the mandible. Power toothbrush was recommended to patient and flossing was introduced. The patient was treated with SRP, polish, and fluoride treatment.

 

CASE #2

57yrs old female, non-smoker with a negative health history. EO: a pea size movable lymph nodes found on the right lower jaw. IO: PA pathology found under tooth #25 (clinical impression: fistula) with no exudate. Retained root was found on #24. Caries was suspected on DL #8 and the interproximal between #14-15. Perio case type III; localized type IV (Type III mobility on #23-24 and type III furcation on #15). An extra soft toothbrush and CHX mouth rinses were recommended. The patient was treated with SRP (excluded #12, 22-27). Referral to physician, periodontist, and oral surgeon was given.

Right: Patient was missing all molars on the right side and presented with generalized moderate bone loss (horizontal and vertical).

PA Pathology found under teeth #22 and #24-25. Caries presented on #8, 10, 22 and 27. There were generalized moderate bone loss and localized severe bone loss on the lower anterior.

Left: Patient was missing all molars on the mandible and #1-2 on the maxilla. Caries was presented on #11-12, 14-15. There was generalized moderate bone loss (horizontal and vertical).
